Operations Manager


Location: Marrickville, Sydney, Australia (onsite)
Days: Monday to Friday 8:30–5pm
Start Date: Immediately

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Operations Manager to lead all areas of Mud Australia’s ceramic homewares production, warehousing, and dispatch. This onsite role at our Marrickville headquarters is responsible for strategically planning and autonomously managing the operational, financial, and people functions of the Operations department in line with Mud’s overarching business strategy. You’ll be joining a creative and collaborative team in a growing business, offering excellent opportunities for professional development.

This role plays a key part in driving continual improvement across processes, product quality, and workplace culture.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Past experience in a similar role
  • A keen eye for detail and an ability to problem-solve autonomously
  • Exceptional skills in time management, with confidence in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills to track output and costs against budget
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team, providing and receiving feedback
  • An enthusiastic attitude and appreciation of sustainable manufacturing

Role: Pourer (trainee)

Location: Marrickville, Sydney, Australia

Days: Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30

Start Date: Immediately

Based in our converted warehouse this role offers progressive skill development with the hands-on skill of slip casting. This physical, and messy role involves lifting heavy moulds and pouring jugs of clay up to 10kg. Skills required – physically fit, good attention to detail, ability to work autonomously, good communicator, adaptability, solutions focused. All training provided on site.
