London Craft Week in Review 2025

Mud Australia x UAL: London College of Communication

To mark 30 years of thoughtful design, Mud Australia has partnered with emerging creatives from UAL’s London College of Communication in a six-month collaboration exploring the essence of our brand through a contemporary lens.

The result is a multimedia exhibition that honours Mud Australia's heritage in handmade porcelain—reimagined within the context of London’s vibrant creative landscape. This partnership celebrates our shared commitment to sustainability, design and the value of considered collaborative making.

To celebrate this collaboration, the students have taken over our stores locations in Marylebone and Islington, filling them with installations and presenting a series of four activations during London Craft Week 2025 that spotlight contemporary craft across the city’s dynamic design culture.

Floral Workshop with Rebel Rebel

Mud Australia Islington Store

Hosted at our Islington store, East London florists Rebel Rebel hosted a hands-on workshop inviting participants to explore floral design as a form of storytelling. Inspired by the colours and textures of Mud Australia porcelain, guests created sculptural arrangements using seasonal blooms. The session highlighted the delicate intersection of natural materials and human touch—central to our design philosophy.

Terrazzo Workshop with Sonn Studio

Mud Australia Islington Store

At our Islington Store, Sonn Studio led an immersive terrazzo workshop where participants crafted a tile or coaster using recycled materials. Drawing from Mud’s colourways and clean lines, this session reflected on permanence and the artistry of surface design. A celebration of reuse form and tactility, the workshop embraced material experimentation in a sustainable context.
