
Shelley Simpson Ceramics Prize Eligibility
Applications for the 2021 Shelley Simpson Ceramics Prize have now closed.
The Prize is open to students entering their final year of a tertiary or vocational degree offering Ceramics as an elective, and will be awarded based on an original ceramic project the student enters. A cash sum of $10,000 will be awarded to the winner of the Prize, which is intended to support the recipient’s living, creative and study expenses.
Eligibility
Applicants must be:
— Enrolled in Higher or Vocational Education which offers Ceramics as either an elective OR major
— This prize has been created to assist students in their final year – your intended final year must be 2022 (Masters, BA or Diploma)
— An Australian citizen or permanent resident
— Not already holding another scholarship
— In genuine financial need

Does your project show insight and imagination?
Aesthetic —
Does your project have a defined aesthetic appeal?
Craftsmanship —
How does your project integrate and illustrate skilled craftsmanship?
Sustainability —
How does this project consider the environment?

Does your project represent or speak to a particular community?
Functional or Art —
What category does your work fit in? We welcome all expressions of creativity.
