Our Process

All Mud Australia porcelian is proudly handmade in Sydney. Our pouring team are trained in-house and use a combination of experience and intuition to cast each piece.

The Number font has been interpreted by the Mud Australia team and hand carved into plaster moulds for porcelain slip casting.

Using porcelain clay sourced directly from Limoges, France, the pigment is tinted to the porcelain at slip stage to provide colour depth. Clear glaze is applied to the exterior of each House Number, adding a refined and contemporary finish.

Each Number is mounted on stainless steel to create an elegant 2mm shadow-line and can be either glued flush or mounted with a 13mm standoff. The Numbers can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces, including weatherboard, brick and concrete – and they look just as good inside on a shelf.
