Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be a ceramics-based artist

  • Hold an Australian citizen or permanent resident

  • Have not received a major prize, grant or scholarship in the past 12 months

Judging Criteria

Originality — Does the work express an original idea

Ingenuity — Does the work show insight and imagination

Aesthetic — does the work have defined aesthetic appeal

Craftsmanship - Does the work integrate and illustrate skilled craftsmanship

Sustainability — Is the work made with sustainability in mind

Community focus — Does the work represent or speak to a particular community

Functional or Sculptural — All expressions of creativity are welcomed

Key Dates

  • 30 June (5pm) - Closing date for applications

  • 10 July - Finalists be notified

  • 14 July - Winner announced

  • 31 July - Exhibition opening

  • 31 July - 30 August - exhibition dates

The work submitted in the application must be the work that will be exhibited if selected. Freight and delivery of selected work is the responsibility of the artist. Finalists will be selected by Shelley Simpson and Nicole Durling, Executive Director of Craft
