A Night to Remember: Mud Australia's Spectacular Dinner Party at Apollo Kantine

Copenhagen recently played host to an unforgettable event as part of the 3 Days of Design 2024 festival. Mud Australia, hosted an extraordinary dinner party at the Apollo Kantine in Kunsthal Charlottenborg Museum. The evening was a celebration of design, collaboration, seasonal dining, and the charm of Copenhagen.

The evening began with guests arriving by boat, traveling from the Ark Journal Design Exhibition at Pakhus 11 through Copenhagen Harbour. This scenic journey set the tone for an evening of elegance and sophistication.

Upon arrival at Kunsthal Charlottenborg — one of the largest and most beautiful exhibition spaces for contemporary art in Northern Europe, situated within a historic home — guests met and mingled in the grand foyer of the palace with a glass of rosé.

Inside the Apollo Kantine, the space was adorned with sculptural floral displays and long, family-style tables covered in Mud Australia's pastel hues. The extended daylight hours of Copenhagen's summer added to the overall experience, casting a warm glow throughout the evening. Glimpses of the iconic Copenhagen Harbour through the windows and the museum's high ceilings completed the space.

The evening featured a five-course meal prepared by renowned Copenhagen chef Frederik Bille Brahe. Known for his incredibly fresh, seasonal and modern approach to Nordic cuisine, the menu showcased early Summer flavours such as Artichoke, Cod, Sea Bass Ceviche, Summer Berry Pavlova to name a few.

A memorable experience celebrating the convergence of design, art, and gastronomy. Exemplifying the spirit of the 3 Days of Design festival—a celebration of creativity and innovation, with a touch of Australia. For those who attended, the evening left a lasting impression, a memory of a night where good company, design and dining came together in perfect harmony.
