Designed to bring joy to every meal, our cooking and baking ware is beautiful enough to take from the oven directly to the table. Durable and made to last, our handmade porcelain pieces can be used in the oven, microwave and dishwasher by both home chefs and industry professionals alike.
Carbon Neutral since 2020
With an elegant and timeless design aesthetic, Mud Australia thoughtfully creates porcelain homewares that are designed to last.
From our studio in Sydney we hand make every porcelain plate, actively building relationships with the people who buy and love our products across the world.
Sustainability is built into our design DNA. Our products eschew seasonality, complement any interior, and are made to last. All new additions to our range are designed to be useful and complement existing designs. We believe in conscious and responsible consumption, and this starts with good design.
We've always been dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint and our commitment to become carbon neutral was proudly achieved by the end of 2020.

Whether it’s an extravagant dinner party or a simple weekday meal, our handmade cookware range provides versatile pieces for prepping, baking and serving.

Porcelain cookware, designed to last
Mud Australia cookware is proudly made in Sydney. Our pouring team is trained in-house and use a combination of experience and intuition to cast each piece. The beauty of our pieces can be attributed to the handmade process and human touch.
Using porcelain clay sourced directly from Limoges, France, our bespoke colours are mixed in-house. The pigment is tinted to the body at slip stage to provide colour depth.
Clear glaze is applied to the interior of each piece, leaving the exterior with a vitrified stone-like surface that becomes smooth with handling.
Our cookware is food safe and can, with some care, be used in the oven, microwave and dishwasher. Explore our cookware collection, from porcelain preparation pieces to bakeware to build your Mud Australia collection.

What is Mud Australia cookware made from?
Our handmade cookware collection is made in our Sydney studio from high-quality porcelain clay sourced directly from Limoges, France.
Is your ceramic cookware, dishwasher and microwave safe?
Our porcelain cookware is food safe and can, with some care, be used in the oven, microwave and dishwasher.
In the dishwasher, make sure items are not touching. To avoid scratches on the glaze ideally your porcelain will either be stored in plate racks or use linen/felt between each item.
Sudden changes in temperature (eg. from freezer to oven / from oven to cold bench) is likely to cause thermal shock, which will damage your porcelain. Always put cold items onto wire racking when placing in a hot oven. Always place very hot items onto either wood or cloth.
