Mud Australia crosses the river to Armadale

Our newest location is situated on High St, Armadale. The former hairdressing salon has been transformed by Melbourne firm DesignOffice into a space that’s quietly confident and personable. The Iconic Vitsoe shelving systems showcase our full range of handmade porcelain homewares. Refined Barber Osgerby tables sit alongside Design Office’s bespoke joinery expertly crafted by JP Finsbury. The hero piece is a striking, large round table by Coco Flip with a custom Five Mile Radius terrazzo top, made with Mud Australia waste porcelain pieces and upcycled concrete.

The new Armadale store is a glorious space. With its double height ceilings, there is a beautiful sense of volume and light. It’s a large store for us, so it comfortably allows customers to browse and interact with ease. It’s really important to me that our stores are grounded – I always want them to be calming yet quietly inspiring spaces.

Over the last decade, we’ve enjoyed a wonderful and collaborative relationship with Mud Australia helping to create a connected family of global retail spaces. In the heart of the lifestyle precinct in Armadale, this new store has wonderful bones, with high ceilings, abundant natural light and exposed brick walls. Crafted timber joinery elements are introduced to anchor the space and guide the journey through the chromatic spectrum of the Mud Australia range. The resulting setting is a warm and tactile place where people can find calm inspiration as they explore and enjoy the product.
