At home with Maddy Pease — The Modern Thanksgiving Table

In three words, how would you describe your Thanksgiving table vibe?

Simple, comfortable, vibrant.

Why Mud Australia?

The colour range and wide selection of products lets me customise my holiday table to my liking. My personal aesthetic blends neutrals and vibrancy so being able to match that to my tablescapes is key. When I walked into the Mud Australia Los Angeles showroom, I was blown away by the range of pieces they made. All perfectly crafted and shipped across the globe.

How do you keep a holiday table from looking over-designed or stuffy?

Less is more! You probably don’t need the placemats, florals and candles… narrow it down to one or two statement items and let the tableware shine.

Whats unique about hosting in LA?

I like to give a long lead time before I host – people are so busy in LA, so I’ve found that giving an early heads up usually results in more people being able to make it.
